Dissection forceps, stainless steel, by Allen & Hanburys Ltd, London, mid 20th century, formerly the property of Thomas Pomfret Kilner.
These forceps have a sllit down each 'blade', possibly to accommodate a needle or rod.
This is likely to have come from an instrument case used by Kilner which is also held in the collection; see BAPRAS/ 242.
