These skin grafting scissors were designed in 1872 by Thomas Bryant of Guy's Hospital to lift a small pinch of skin before cutting it free. This is done in one smooth action when the handles are moved together.Swiss surgeon Jacques-Louise Reverdin developed the pinch graft in 1869.
