This came from an instrument case used by Thomas Pomfret Kilner (1890-1964) at Liverpool; see BAPRAS/ 242.
This raspatory was given to Kilner as a gift by its designer, Maxwell Maltz (1899-1975). Also held in the collection is the raspatory that Maltz gave to Sir Harold Gillies; see related records.
