John Barker was admitted sizar in 1745; elected Fellow 1749; ordained deacon Ely 1752. in support of American rebellion. Elected Master 1780 in succession to Dean Thomas. He died 18th Feb 1808 aged 81 and was buried in the ante-chapel the same day as his wife Hannah, who had died two days after him.
