Physical description
Head and shoulders of John Leland. Born in1506 in London; BA 1521/2. Became Royal Chaplain and Librarian to Henry VIII. His portrait is in the South Oriel window of the Hall.
Object History Note
opened and cleaned; watermark at bottom which does not reach the picture; resealed back; filled missing beading and repainted frame in gold and black 2 2016 by WMS&MS.
