Description
Reverend Joseph Clark of Kegworth was admitted pensioner in 1834; scholar 1835; BA 1838; MA 1841. Member of Hendeka Club. Elected Fellow (Finch and Baines) of Christ's College 1839 - 54; Deacon of Ely 1839; Priest 1840. Steward Christ's 1844 and 1850. Senior Dean 1851. Presented to the rectory of Kegworth 1853, which he altered considerably. Resigned fellowship 1854. Died at Kegworth in 1893 after being blind for many years, but performing his clerical work to the end.
Haddon was working in Cambridge in the 1930s so this picture must be based on another, contemporary portrait now unkown.
Physical description
Picture removed from frame, cleaned and remounted. The frame was patched with milliput and repainted in gold and black by MS & WMS March 2016. Blemish on bottom of mount decoration could not be removed without risk of more damage. Was in rack 25 moved 14/8/18
