Henry Newell Martin (CCBR vol II pp614) born Newry Ireland 1848; pensioner 1870. FRS 1885; Fellow 1874; noted brightness of character. 1876 appointed Professor of Biology at the new University of John Hopkins in Baltimore USA until 1893. Died 27.10.1896 in Wharfedale Yorks.
