.Samuel Bolton m.1625; BA 1628/9; DD1650. Minister St Martin's Ludgate, then St Saviour's Southwark published "the Tossed Ship, a word in season to a sinking Kingdom" in 1644. a good enthusiastic preacher. He became 13th Master of Christ's College (in spite of being married in 1633) in 1646 to 1654. He was good with the accounts. He died aged 48 on 15th Oct 1654. His portrait does not wholly agree with that in Calamy's edition of his posthumous works.
