Minister of the parish of St Mary Aldermary London born 1595 son of William Gell Vicar of Frindsbury near Rochester died 1664-5 aged 70, buried at Pampisford where he was born in 1595
Admitted sizar 1615; BA 1617-18; MA 1621; BD 1628. DD 1641; Elected Fellow 1623-38; Mild May Lecturer, friendly with Meade. He gave £10 to the new building over and above what the Master and Fellows gave in Common. He left one moiety of his books to this College, the other to Queens. he was chaplain to Gilbert Sheldon, Archbishop of canterbury and Rector of St Mary Aldermary, London 1641-65
