Szeming Sze (1908-1998) was a resident member of the College from 1925-28. He was a donor to the College after his death. He was the son of the Chinese Ambassador to England. He was one of the founders of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Dr. Sze became chief of specialized agencies for the Economic & Social Council of the United Nations.

The portrait was borrowed by Lucy Woolhouse for Library America Exhibition 2014, then passed to Dr Norman for framing 27/4/15.
