* "The mulberry tree, which Milton is said to have palnted in Christ's Garden, as it stood a few years ago. Several branches on the left have eben since blown off and the whole is in a state of decay in 1824. The tree was certainly connected with Milton in some way but whether he planted it or no is not accurately known. It still bears delicious fruit."
