Framed and glazed presentation of the parchment certificate and Royal Seal on the appointment of the Lord Lieutenant of Ross & Cromarty in 2nd June 2007. Janet Margaret Bowen was appointed on that day and held the position until 12th July 2019. The script on the parchment is written in black and red ink (calligraphy) with a red ribbon at the bottom connecting to a wax copy of the royal seal of Queen Elizabeth II.
On the back is a calligraphy label in black and red "Commission / in favour of / Janet Margaret Bowen, / Justice of the Peace / to be Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant / for the Area of ross and Cromarty. / Written to the Seal and Registered and Sealed / at Edinburgh, the Fifth day of September / in the Year Two thousand and seven." Signed by the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland and deputy Keeper of the Seal.
