Cast iron ladle, made for use at the well at Redcastle.
It has a long handle with a ring at the top. Attached to this loop is a long chain with a hook at the end. The ladle has a large deep bowl. Along the handle is marked W R 10/6/93.
Donated with a handwritten note on brown envelope which says "This ladle was made by the late Mr. W. Robertson of 'Robertson & Porter' in June 1893. For use at the well at Redcastle, Black Isle. The well has since been filled in."
