Pin cushion, in commemoration of the Seaforth Highlanders.
Heart shaped. In the centre is a rectangular piece of orange fabric, secured with black and blue beads. It is printed with the badge of the Seaforth Highlanders, their insignia, battles fought, an elephant, the letter 'F', the Imperial Crown and flag.
At the top left and right of the heart there are two sections of very finely embroidered floral patterns.
Surrounding these sections of fabric are embroidery and beads in many patterns and colours. There is a brown fringed edge all around the heart.
Heart pin cushion with Seaforth Highlanders panel in the middle. The Seaforth Highlanders panel is a rectangular shape and has the Union Jack in the top left hand corner. There is a list of battles commemorated under the Union Jack and they read as follows: HINDOOSTAN, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE 1806, JAVA, SEVASTOPOL, KOOSHAB, CENTRAL INDIA, CHARASIAB, KANDAHAR 1880, EGYPT 1882. There is the Seaforth Highlanders emblem in the middle of this panel which has a wreath of flowers which includes thistles around it and the word "Assaye" underneath and a small picture of an elephant. On the right hand side of the panel there is another list of battles commemorated and reads as follows: MAIDA, S AFRICA 1835, PERSIA, LUCKNOW, PEIWARKOTAL, KABUL 1879, AFGANISTAN 1878-80, TEL EL KEBIR.
There is another small panel at the bottom of the heart which reads as follows: WITH BEST WISHES. "WITH" and "WISHES" are both in red whilst "BEST" is in bigger text in green.
There are assorted pins in different shapes and colours creating assorted geometrical shapes.
There are two identical panels of embroidery in the top two corners of the heart both showing some red flowers with some green leaves.
There is a brown and yellow trim around the whole outer edge of the pin cushion.
