Magda Audifred studied at the National Fine Arts University, UNAM, Mexico City in Graphic Communications and Visual Arts from 1980-1987. She has exhibited widely in America. Audifred has also exhibited in Spain, France, Scotland and Italy. In 1996 she took part in a UKLA Festival, Collaboration and Exchange programme between Self Help Graphics, Los Angeles, CA and Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow, Scotland.
Audifred uses many different techniques to achieve her work including etching, mixed media, linoleum and paint. Her Mexican roots are clearly seen in her mix of vibrant mixed media and highly decorated ceramics.
The artist lives and works in Los Angeles.
