Digital colour print showing three hands across the centre which are part of a series of images using finger spelling and sign language. The artist is partially deaf. The hands and other characters spell out the name of 'Jerusalem'. The overall image is influenced by the artist's fascination with the relationship between faith and science. During the Islamic Enlightenment there was a symbiosis of the two and they complemented and supported each other. However, in the West, with the onset of the dark ages, some of those in power in the Western church fought to hold onto that power and the security and wealth that it brought against anything that opposed it. As the artist states "with the arrival of the industrial and scientific revolutions, the ages of 'revelation' gave way to the age of 'reason'. In this image, there are increasing references to this with the use of alchemical symbolism. The linear composition itself looks like a formula.
