Image with background of textured effect in tones of grey with white speckles. Larger shapes in tones of grey and yellow over the top. Background gives the impression of stones.In an interview at Glasgow Print Studio on 11th May 2011, the artist stated that he remembered drawing the image in a sketchbook at a seaside. Looking over some railings onto a beach, he saw a number of concrete shapes which looked as if they were waiting for something to be built on them. They were yellow (ochre) in colour. Printed from a steel plate, the tone of the mild steel gives a pale colour. Aquatint gaves a spotted effect.
