This print shows an image of the outlines of leaf skeletons and also full leaves printed in red, green and orange. The background is printed in purple. The artist wrote about this print "'Skeleton Leaves' was based upon the image I had of the skeletons of leaves as "Memento Mori" reminders of death, and I had an image of a medieval woman whose "arms" became "skeleton leaves" in the image; a reminder of the past and the present and the tiny span of our lives in relation to history."
