Ruth Beardsworth studied at Preston Polytechnic, from 1976-1979 before graduating from Manchester Polytechnic, 1979 -1980 with an M.A in Printmaking. Beardsworth has won the Shell Expro Award, The Scottish Arts Council Project Assistance Award to study Lithography at the Tamarind Institute in New Mexico, both in 1992, and The Glasgow Print Studio Publication Award in 1996. She has exhibited widely in the UK.
