Glazen stereodia met een afbeelding van een vrouw en kind in een zonnige tuin langs de zijkant van een huis. Het kind (vermoedelijk genaamd Eddy) houdt ene stok vast en de vrouw houdt beschermend zijn armpje vast.

Deze dia hoort bij een collectie stereodia’s gemaakt door Marius Dirk Robert Merens (Bengkajang, Borneo, 1872 - Den Haag, 1949) van 1905 tot 1922. Merens was van 1899 tot 1928 ambtenaar in dienst van Nederlands-Indisch gouvernement. Hij was onder andere hoofd van de afdeling personeelszaken. Tijdens het groot verlof verbleef hij in Den Haag en reisde hij met zijn gezin door Europa, waarbij onder andere de steden Parijs, Brussel en Antwerpen werden aangedaan. Het leven van het gezin in Nederlands-Indië als ook het verlof in Den Haag en de Europese reizen heeft Merens vastgelegd in stereodia’s.
