De tekening is ogezet in rode en zwarte inkt en groen ingekleurd. Afgebeeld is een aanzicht op de Konginnegracht met in het midden de Laan Copes van Cattenburch; rode lijnen geven het schietbereik aan. Het centrale gezichtspunt is de bunker Raamweg 12. Het geheel is vastgezet in een lijst zonder onderkant.Na de bevrijding van de Duitse bezetting werden deze in zwarte inkt opgezette tekeningen aangetroffen in een bunker aan Raamweg 12. Vanuit dit verdedigingswerk keek men uit op de Koninginnegracht met rechts de Laan Copes van Cattenburch en Sumatrastraat en links de Javastraat. De rode lijnen en getallen op de tekeningen geven het schietbereik of het schootsveld aan dat vanuit de bunker met de machinegeweren bestreken kon worden.
De bunker aan Raamweg 12 maakte onderdeel uit van de Atlantikwall. Deze Duitse verdedigingslinie bestond in het achterland van Den Haag en Scheveningen uit een 5,5 kilometer lange en zigzaggende tankgracht met allerlei andere versperringen zoals drakentanden en tankmuren. Bij de verdedigingswerken creëerde de Duitse bezetter een vrij schootsveld van 350 meter breed. Honderden huizen en openbare gebouwen moesten hiervoor worden gesloopt. Ongeveer een kwart van de Haagse bevolking moest haar onderkomen verlaten. Aan de Raamweg en de Koningskade werd de bebouwing niet met de grond gelijk gemaakt. Met een muur werden deze huizen van de buitenwereld afgesloten. Ook de ramen werden dichtgemetseld.
In het naastgelegen kantoorpand van de Raad van Arbeid aan Raamweg 9-11 waren ook enige bunkers en andere versterkingen aangebracht. De Duitse Wehrmacht had hiertoe opdracht gegeven in verband met de instelling van het vestinggebied. Twee jaar na de oorlog, in augustus 1947, kreeg de voorzitter van de Raad van Arbeid goedkeuring enige opruimings- en herstelwerkzaamheden te laten uitvoeren, zodat het kantoorgebouw zijn oorspronkelijke bestemming terugkreeg. Zo werd een deel van de gemetselde gang in het souterrain gesloopt en de lager gelegen vloer hersteld.
