Taiyo Fishery Co. letterheaded paper, with two impressions from the company’s franking stamps and two envelopes with the company's franking stamps. One stamp reads 'Japanese whaling & / sealing expedition / South / Georgia Is. / 1964 / Grytviken'. The other stamp has a heading in Japanese script and below this it reads ' South / Georgia / Is. / 1964 / Grytviken'.
This is part of a collection of letters letters and communications material collected by John Dye. The material all pertains to his time spent in South Georgia serving as Whale Inspector and biologist in 1963-65.
