Pelt of a female fur seal. Collected during scientific study of fur seal biology undertaken by M. R. Payne, assisted by P. A. Prince, at Bird Island 1971-73. Processed in London and presented to R. W. Burton. Donated to the Museum by R. W. Burton. Accompanied by a photograph of a diagram of fur seal fur.
