Collection of documents recovered from the cinema at Husvik harbour in January 1980. The material includes film lists for the cinemas at Grytviken, Leith Harbour and Husvik Harbour whaling stations. There is also inter-station correspondence and shipping notes for the shipping of films to and from Norway and between whaling stations. Material dates from 1929 to 1961. Much of the material is related to ‘Kinostyret’ (the cinema directorate) at the different cinemas. Kinostyret of Husvik, Leith and Grytviken cinemas were in regular contact with each other. There is also correspondence with H Sandberg with 'Sandefjord Kommune Kinematografer' (Sandefjord council cinemas) who arranged the seasonal loan of films to Husvik Harbour.
