The pamphlet is a part of a collection of material from from William and Christina Barlas connected to their time spent in South Georgia. William served as Magistrate and Deputy Postmaster from 1928 until his death in 1941. He is buried in Grytviken cemetery after dying by avalanche on the track between King Edward Point and Grytviken.
