Collection of photographs from William and Christina Barlas connected to their time spent in South Georgia. William served as Magistrate and Deputy Postmaster from 1928 until his death in 1941. He is buried in Grytviken cemetery after dying by avalanche on the track between King Edward Point and Grytviken. The photograph subjects include families at King Edward Point, whale processing, landscapes, and ships. Some photographs have descriptions on the reverse.
