Crystal disc unit in box. Box is wooden and square, built to house the unit. The unit is round with one flat side and another concave side. Crystal disc unit created as part of A.S.D.I.C sonar detection and used by whaling catcher ships to detect whales. Unit would have been housed in external unit made from steel and aluminium casing.
