Binnacle for 'Dias' compass

Wooden circular binnacle with metal casing around. Would have been mounted on the deck of the ship to house the ship’s compass. This particular binnacle is from 'Dias'. The compass from 'Dias' is in the museum’s collection, SGM.2013.15.
